Bringing in the new year are two new Beagle and Daxie Litters!

Welcome to Laponderosa Kennels, breeders of Beagles and Standard Wirehaired Dachshunds. I have been a Beagle breeder for over 16 years and a Standard Wirehaired Breeder for over 8 years. My philosophy on being a successful dog breeder is to buy from the best kennels in the world, produce the best you can and sell the best dogs you can, whether it is for companion, working or for show.

I believe in being honest with my customers, and keeping in touch whether it is good news or bad. If for some reason a new client cannot keep their dog or puppy, does not matter at what age, I will help them find a new home or take the dog back until we do find the right home.

I occasionally have retired breeding stock or show dogs available to the right home. I really feel, if at mid age, if that special home does come along, they will be the king or queen of that household for their retirement years. That means a lot to me....

Our dogs have excelled in the show ring, Rally O, hunting, and just being a good family companion dog. We have sold dogs all over the world, including Canada, United States, South America, France, Holland, Finland, Spain and Mexico. My husband and I will travel with our show dogs to their destinations, or the people buying our dogs will come to our kennel and home to pick them up. That way we know they are in good hands. This way we make many good friends all over the world. We pride ourselves on our high standards, and a reflection of those standards is the many repeat clients whom have returned for their next dog.

We raise our puppies in our home; they are part of our household and a part of the family. I have three grandchildren who love to come over and play, snuggle and love our puppies. The Beagles go with their dew claws removed, de-worming, first set of shots and tattoos for identification. Our Daxies go with de-worming, first set of shots and tattoos. If our dogs have to travel farther away, I will keep them longer to ensure they are more mature for the trip. We have a great puppy travel agent that helps us get our dogs to their destinations.

I am very proud of our dogs. It is my passion, and I love meeting new people, and keeping in touch with the owners. On our Planned Litter Page you can watch as the new babies grow with weekly photo shoots. And if at any time you have photos to share, we love putting them up on the Fun Page.

Can Ch. Laponderosa's Road to Lenwin, was top beagle in Canada for '97 & '98. Brodie was also in the movie Best in Show.

We have won several specialty puppy best in shows with our Beagles and Daxies and have had several Multi group wins, and specialty wins with our Veterans and Puppies.

Aava, Can. Ch. Galadriel the granddaughter of Brodie is currently second beagle in Canada and in the top ten hounds.

I breed for health, conformation and personality. If you have one Beagle or a Daxie you will find you must have more, it is very addicting, and a lot of fun.

All in all, breeding and loving these two breeds is the best thing in my life, along with my great family and friends. They are a big part of my family and daily routine. I hope you enjoy our web site.
