I just got back from my trip to Romania and met my good friend Sergio Mihut, who raises Standard Wire Haired Dachshunds. I brought back a beautiful red girl whose name is Freija.
Hugh will be staying there for a year or so to be shown. I attended the dog shows and Hugh obtained four titles.
- Macedonian Champion
- Montenegro Champion
- Bulgarian Champion
- Georgia Champion
He now has five titles to his name, at a ripe age of 18 months.
X'tazy obtained Most Promising Puppy and he also won Reserve Puppy in Show in Castanza, Romania. He will be living in a loving home with Sergio in Romania permanently now.

The weekend went great for Laponderosa! All shows were held in Lavington Park. B.C.
"Laponderosa's Ode To A Legend "Owen", just six months old, wins Best Puppy In Beagle Specialty, Winners Male and Best of Winners, and a Puppy Group with handler Sandy Bryce.
Can. Ch. Galadriel, "AAVA" wins Best of Opposite in the Beagle Club of B.C. Specialty.
Also, Mason wins Best Veteran in Specialty.

Currently I have two show standard wirehaired dachshunds going to Romania and the other to Moscow this summer. I will be making the trip with my dogs. I am also the new vice-president of the Beagle Club of B.C.

Braz. Ch. Torquay Shrek won a Best in Show in Calgary under Judge Steven Hubbell from the U.S.
Also on his first weekend showing in Canada, Shrek won Best of Winners two days in a row, then won the Breed from the classes to go onto winning group 1st, and finally BEST IN SHOW! We have high hopes for this young dog. A huge thank you to Milton for showing him and to Torquay Beagles from Brazil to offer us this great dog!

Beetle Bug, a Standard Wire Hair, had two babies! One wild boar female and one black and tan boy on Jan. 15th.
Chantal the beagle, had her litter the very next day on Jan. 16th. In total seven puppies were born; Five girls, Five boys. All were tri coloured! Photos coming soon!

Monique's litter was a total of 8 puppies who were born January 1st, 2010!
We have another addition to Laponderosa Kennels. This time from South America, co-owned with Torquay Beagles Brazil, this is "Torquay Shrek" the Number 1 Beagle in Brazil and the winner of two best in shows! He will be campaigned in 2010 by Milton Lopes his handler.
