Being lower to the ground, your fence only needs to be 4 feet high. You have to watch their weight, don't let them jump off of high furniture, and watch the stairs. They also need toys in their basket, and a routine for the day. The wiry coat must be stripped for showing, or if you have a pet/companion, you may keep the coat up with clippers. Daxies love to be with you.  They are born in our home as are the beagles. Dachshunds will receive two dewormings, first set of shots, tattoos, and a health record. Obedience classes are recommended.
